Plaid project!

This week's challenge is to use Plaid on your project!  I used some plaid to complete my tags for Rosanne's annual tag swap.  I'm also loving the old fashioned truck/car theme that seems to be everywhere this year too!

Here are my tags!

Thanks for stopping by!  Head on over to the Crazy Card Party and link up your plaid project.

Merry Christmas!

It's beginning to look a lot like Christmas!

So I've had a bit of a break from posting.  This week Sharon wants to see our Christmas Florals or Poinsettias!  I was able to work on some Christmas cards at Cropfest in November and this was one of the many I completed!

Here is my card, using a stamp and die set I've had for a while but hadn't used yet.

Thanks for stopping by!  Head over to our Crazy Card Party to see what bouquets the others have come up with!

Colouring!

Welcome to my blog!  This week Sharon has asked us to add colouring to our project.  My project has both colouring and paper piecing so I've covered off a couple of recent challenges.  Thanks to Sharon for lending me her Pedal Pusher stamp and die set.  Aren't the puppies in the basket cute?

Here are my cards...

It's a TRAVEL day!

Good morning!!  It's my turn to set the challenge for this week and I chose a TRAVEL theme.  I took some pictures of the Abama Resort that Dave and I stayed at in the Canary Islands a few years ago.  As I was looking at my layouts, I decided that I need to go back and take some inspiration from my own layouts in order to complete future ones.

Here are a few shots!

I'm really loving the single page with the pocket page format these days.  I've started working on wedding layouts and I am taking the same approach!

Thanks for stopping by!  Hop on over to the Party and link up your travel project.  We'd love to see them all!

Happy Birthday!!

So I'm a little late posting this challenge.  This week Rosanne has asked us to for a birthday project.  And since it is her 'un' birthday, it is only appropriate that I post the card I made for her.

Here is my card...

I used my new Lawn Fawn stamp and die set as well as Lawn Fawn paper.  I was so excited about the shaker card that I shook it before it was dry.  So some of the sequins might be 'stuck' around the outside...

Hop on over to the Crazy Card Party and see what the others have created with a birthday theme!!

Thanks

Tropical...

Hello everyone.. this week Sharon has asked us to create a project with a Tropical theme.  It certainly is timely because it has been feeling very tropical these past few days!  Thankfully we received some much needed rain overnight but I'm hoping it will clear up for the weekend.

Here's my tropical project (s)... one using flip flops and one using surfboards!

Thanks for stopping by!  Hop on over to the Crazy Card Party and link up your tropical creations.

Black and Kraft????

Hi everyone... it's Rosanne turn to set the challenge over at our Crazy Card Party and it is Kraft and Black.  I took a bit of liberty with the challenge, mostly because I thought the washi tape I wanted to use was black but it turned out to be brown.  So here is my take on the Black and Kraft challenge.

I hope you have a great "Party" this Canada Day weekend.  Stay safe everyone and thanks for stopping by!

Bright and Fresh...

Good Thursday morning!!  The title of this post could definitely describe the weather outside this past couple of days!  This week Patricia has asked us to do a project that is "Bright and Fresh".

I'm sitting here this morning having coffee from my new mug.. here's a snap!

I love the mug but even I have to admit, I haven't been doing much glitter-sweating these days.  I did, however, find the time to create this card for a very special wedding I attended last weekend.  Congratulations to Brianne and Dan and all the best as you start your married life together!!  Note:  Brianne is the daughter of Party-er Rosanne!

Here's my card...
Thanks Sharon for loaning me this stamp and die set.  I've had my eye on this card for a while and was happy to be able to make it for Brianne and Dan!

Thanks for stopping by on this bright and fresh morning!  Have a great day!

Oh Deer!!

This week Sharon has challenged us to create a project with a deer or antler related.  This is a very popular theme around Christmas time so it took a bit of thinking on how to incorporate this in May!

Here is my card... simple but sweet (I think)!!

Along with the inside birthday greeting!

Thanks for stopping by... hop on over to the Crazy Card Party and link up your deer project!

I'm baack!!!

I've been absent from posting for a bit... life and other things kinda took priority!  However today I'm back with a challenge by Regan, to follow this colour palette.

I decided to go with something non-traditional!  Here is my card..

Watercolour and 100 posts!!

This week, Deanna has asked us to post a water colour project.  I tried a technique I found on Pinterest.  I used an acrylic block with distress inks and then sprayed water on it.  Then I put it on water colour paper, let it dry and then die cut the feathers and the stars.  I'm quite happy with the way it turned out!!

Here is my card...

And this challenge marks my 100th post!!  Pretty good for someone who said they would never do cards and never have a blog!  What is the lesson to be learned here?  Never say never!!

Thanks for stopping by and head on over to our Crazy Card Party and post your water colour project.

Happy Birthday!

For this week's challenge, Patricia has asked us to do a birthday project.  This is very timely for me as this week starts an 8 week period in which all of us (in our immediate little family) celebrate our birthdays.  Starting this weekend, my oldest son Ian, turns 30!!  I'm not sure where the time has gone... it feels like only yesterday since that snowy day in March 1986.

Here is a recent photo of our son Ian.  I am so blessed to be your mother and so proud of the man you have become. On your birthday, it gives me great pleasure to wish you nothing but joy and happiness!!
.

Here is this week's card...but not necessarily the one I will be giving him!  Although he will be getting Big Hugs!

Thanks for stopping by... hop on over to the Party and see the birthday projects from
the other party-ers!

Hearts!

Happy Heart Day  (last weekend)... and here in Ontario it was family day as well!  Hope you had the chance to spend the weekend with those that you love.
This week Sharon has asked us to create a project including hearts.  I was on a roll last evening so I ended up making 3 cards albeit a couple were duplicates.

Here are my cards...

We would love you to join our Party-er's and link up your heart project in honour of Valentine's Day!  Thanks for stopping by....

It's black,it's white... break out the Michael Jackson song!

It's my week to host our Crazy Card Party and I have chosen a black and white themed project.  I have to admit that even I broke the "rules" this time and added a little pop of colour!

Here is my card...

Thanks for stopping by... we hope you can join the party with your black and white (and ?) project.

Follow me....

It's Rosanne's turn to set the challenge over at our Crazy Card Party.  Here's the sketch sample she provided.

My card is not as detailed as this sketch but if you tilt your head just SO, you will see the similarities.  I also tried a new technique I saw on Jennifer McGuire's blog.

Here is my card...

Thanks for stopping by!  Head on over to the party and see how the others have interpreted this sketch.
