Christmas Tag

For the past several years, Rosanne has hosted an annual Christmas tag swap.  It's so much fun seeing what everyone creates... however there was that one year I did tile coasters (homemade) for everyone and then the 'it has to be able to hang' rule was invented!!

Stamped Background

Creating a Scene!

NOT in the way you might think!  This week Sharon has asked us to create a project using a scene!  I've had this PTI stamp and die set for a while and this was the first time I used it.  And I'll be using it a lot more now!!  Once again Pinterest was my inspiration.

Use a die cut as a mask

Happy Thursday everyone!  It is my turn to set the challenge this week and I asked the Party-er's to Use a die -cut as a mask, as seen on the Hero Arts blog.

I was very happy with the results of my card using the snowflake as a mask for the background.  Then I used the snowflakes as an embellishment on the card.  Isn't it lover-ly??!!

This week it is Regan's turn to set our challenge and she has chosen Christmas!  I had a fabulous time working on some Christmas cards at a crop last weekend.  I was very happy with the results.

Name that tune!

Hi everyone.. this week Patricia has asked us to Turn Up the Tunes and use a song for inspiration.  My choice comes with an explanation this time.  Just recently I was organizing my scrapbook albums, ensuring finalized pages/projects were all in the correct album and creating 'covers' for each one.  And I came across this layout from 2009.  So it meets the challenge for being inspired by a song and it also meets the definition of throw-back Thursday!!

Here is my layout, taken while on a cruise to celebrate our 25th wedding anniversary!

Butter-flying!

This week it is Sharon's turn to set our CCP challenge and she has asked to see butterflies in our project.  I'm starting to get 'back into' my scrapbook room and I'm always in need of birthday cards.  Here is my card...

What's interesting about this picture is the way the sun is shining on the card you can see the greeting much easier than in regular light.  I used clear embossing powder on the stamped image but in hindsight, white might have been a better idea.

Circles!!

Hi everyone... it's Kathryn and this week I am challenging everyone to creating a project with circles.  I have to admit that my scrapbooking mojo is not firing on all cylinders right now, so I reached back to a recent layout I completed that incorporated circles.  It was one that received positive feedback from my fellow party-ers!
