Watercolour and 100 posts!!

This week, Deanna has asked us to post a water colour project.  I tried a technique I found on Pinterest.  I used an acrylic block with distress inks and then sprayed water on it.  Then I put it on water colour paper, let it dry and then die cut the feathers and the stars.  I'm quite happy with the way it turned out!!

Here is my card...

And this challenge marks my 100th post!!  Pretty good for someone who said they would never do cards and never have a blog!  What is the lesson to be learned here?  Never say never!!

Thanks for stopping by and head on over to our Crazy Card Party and post your water colour project.

Happy Birthday!

For this week's challenge, Patricia has asked us to do a birthday project.  This is very timely for me as this week starts an 8 week period in which all of us (in our immediate little family) celebrate our birthdays.  Starting this weekend, my oldest son Ian, turns 30!!  I'm not sure where the time has gone... it feels like only yesterday since that snowy day in March 1986.

Here is a recent photo of our son Ian.  I am so blessed to be your mother and so proud of the man you have become. On your birthday, it gives me great pleasure to wish you nothing but joy and happiness!!
.

Here is this week's card...but not necessarily the one I will be giving him!  Although he will be getting Big Hugs!

Thanks for stopping by... hop on over to the Party and see the birthday projects from
the other party-ers!
